The Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), integrated into the Secretariat of State for International Cooperation, of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, has since 1987 a Technical Cooperation Office (OTC) in the Dominican Republic, under the organic dependence of the Embassy of Spain. The OTC has among its functions to represent AECID before the Dominican authorities and coordinate the cooperation carried out by the different actors of the Spanish Cooperation in the country.
