Consejo para el Desarrollo Estratégico de Santiago (CDES)

The Council for the Strategic Development of Santiago (CDES) is a non-profit entity, under Law 122-05, for the regulation and promotion of Non-Profit Associations. Founded on November 26, 1997 by representatives of the main public, private and citizen institutions of the Santiago municipality, it was incorporated in 1998 by Executive Power Decree No. 57-98. It is made up of more than 60 independent organizations and municipalities, which bring together all sectors of Santiago society: the City Council, the national government and its local representatives, the commercial and business sector, NGOs, cultural and sports institutions, religious groups, Federations of Neighborhood Councils, popular organizations, communicators, among others.
