Baní is a capital town of the Peravia Province, Dominican Republic. It is located at around 18°16′60″N, 70°19′60″W. It is the commercial and manufacturing center in a region producing bananas and coffee. Once controlled by Spain, most of the families still have strong ties with those of Spain.
