Description:
The Society of Architects of the Dominican Republic was established in 1994. It is a non-profit association whose purpose is to organize the practice of architecture, representation and defense of the interests of architects. It is the entity called to ensure the fulfillment of good professional work. It is based in the old Venezuelan Pavilion, Centro de los Héroes, in the City of Santo Domingo, a building built by the Venezuelan architect Pietri for the 1955 Fair of Peace and Confraternity of the Free World. Currently named Emilio Brea Pavilion in honor one of the founders of SARD and iconic representative of Dominican Architecture and Urbanism.
