Organism that regulates the research and production of meteorological information in the Dominican Republic. Created in 1954 as a technical-scientific organization and official generator of meteorological information, the agency has experienced a continuous strengthening of the quality of the services it offers to the public. This entity has been adjusting within the state's organizational structure to be the agency most suited to its purposes, as is the case in these challenging times of climate change, when, by mandate of Law 19-24, it is now part of the entities attached to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
