The Saint Thomas school is a private, comprehensive, college preparatory, non-sectarian, coeducational institution. The school was founded in 1995 with grades pre-kindergarten through second grade, and added one grade level each subsequent year. Saint Thomas School ranks among the top five schools in the country, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges an Schools (SACS-ADVANCED) and is locally accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic. The facility consists of three buildings, 30 classrooms, a library, science laboratory, three computer labs, an auditorium, a dance room, a cafeteria, administration area, guidance office, medical clinic, conference room, soccer field, and basketball court.
