Painter, sculptor, photographer and teacher. According to Jeannette Miller, Abelardo Rodríguez Urdaneta's work was the most significant at the end of the 6th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Romantic in temperament and classic, Abelardo fills the first three decades of the twentieth century with his strong creative personality. He had an Academy of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture from 1908 to 1933, the year he died. He was also a draftsman and musician. He is considered the forerunner of Dominican artistic photography.

Darío Suro was born in La Vega in 1917 and died in Santo Domingo in 1998.
