International Kids Fund (IKF) is a philanthropic program of Jackson Memorial Foundation committed to helping critically ill children primarily from Latin America and the Caribbean gain immediate access to essential medical treatments that are unavailable in their respective home countries. Thanks to the program, hundreds of foreign children with urgent health care needs have received expert attention from medical specialists at Holtz Children’s Hospital, located at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida, United States.

Orphanage Outreach is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization providing opportunities to orphaned, abandoned, and disadvantaged children in the northwest area of the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1995, over 7000 volunteers have joined Orphanage Outreach for short term and long term volunteer opportunities. High school teams, college teams, church teams, individuals, and families join us for one week to two years. The mission of Orphanage Outreach is to provide opportunities to orphaned, abandoned, and disadvantaged children. Certainly the children who live at the orphanage are a focus of ours, but all the children of Monte Cristi are disadvantaged in some way. The economics of the town are very poor, the children only go to school for half a day, and there are minimal extracurricular activities for the children to participate in.
