La Cinemateca Dominicana, comparte instalaciones con el Museo Nacional de Historia y Geografía, en la Plaza de la Cultura. Está compuesta de dos plantas con un área de aproximadamente 3000 mts2. En el primer nivel están ubicadas las oficinas, la bóveda climatizada, los departamentos técnicos, administrativo y de proyectos, biblioteca, sala de exhibiciones, salón multiusos, un área de archivo no fílmico, de promoción y difusión, y un depósito de material fílmico y área de edición y post-producción. La institución dispone de una biblioteca especializada en cine compuesta por libros y revistas relacionadas a las áreas técnicas, guión, producción, teoría del cine, estética e historia, movimientos, autores e intérpretes de la cinematografía mundial. Además, novedades, tratamiento fílmico y preservación, entre otros.
